Legal luminary and elder statesman, Chief Afe Babalola has submitted that no amount of sermon  from the pulpit can change Nigeria but the restructuring of the country by its  operators, just as the Ooni of Ife,  Oba Enitan Ogunwusi  prayed  that “God deliver us from enslavement and take us back to our glory”
The submissions were part of many of such made for the restructuring of the country at the Adamasingba Stadium Ibadan venue of a  meeting of Nigerians of  the Yoruba stock  on Thursday, where a decision was taken and clamour made for  the restructuring of the country .
Chief Afe Babalola who is the chairman of the occasion said “the only change that can change the country and pave way for nationhood is the change that changes the structure of project Nigeria.”
According to him,  no amount of sermon  from the pulpit can change the country adding  ” that change that will bring about the necessary interest and determination  to succeed is the restructuring of the country.”
He said restructuring  will bring about that change that would make citizens to be proud of what they earn from their sweat as against the wealth acquired from  stealing public fund .
In his submission, Chief Babalola said it is restructuring that would enable the component part of the country to function effectively.
“It is restructuring that could enable each state control its population, set internationally acceptable  standard for admission to tertiary institutions and bring back the glory of quality education from our university.
“Above all it is restructuring that would curb over-concentration of power in the centre and reduce corruption , promote  harmony and unity and make the country metamorphose into a nation”
Also speaking at the event, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi prayed for peace, asking that God deliver ” us from enslavement and take us back to our glory”

Other personalities at the event include Governor Ayo Fayose, Chief Olu Falae, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Otunba Gani Adams, Senator Bode Olajumoke, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Dr Iyiola Omisore, Chief Mrs Kofoworola Bucknor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Hon. Wale Oshun, Dr Tokunbo Awolowo Dosunmu, Sat Guru Maharaji,  Sen. Babafemi Ojudu and Dr Kunle Olajide among others.
Chief John Nwodo and Col Tony Nyiam also attended the meeting on behalf of  the Igbos , Niger Delta and the South South to support the yorubas position on restructuring of the country.
